Black Ops Tournament

Tomorrow, my local Best Buy is having a midnight release and is having a tournament.  Apparently, it's all going to be free for all matches and some sort of ladder system is in place and winner gets a free copy of Black Ops. Another cool thing is they have a 3D TV set up and are going to let people try Black Ops in 3D. Sounds awesome right?

• There are pages of in-game stats via the "Combat Record" menu in multiplayer. ie. Heat maps, weapon stats, KDR graphs and more

• Press Y to view your friends list while in the pregame lobby and in the start menu

Leaderboards

• Treyarch has tools that should keep the leaderboards clear and free of hackers.
• Treyarch has structured their leaderboards in such a way to incentivize capping objectives as well as getting kills.
• Lobby leaderboard and game mode specific leader boards return.
• Leaderboards are now sorted on Score per minute averages (which will reward objective mode players better for taking objectives and not just getting kills).
• Game mode objectives show Score per minute followed by key game mode stats. For example, in Search and Destroy it's Plants, Defuse, and Defends.
• There is also weekly, monthly, and all time variants each with a minimum game played (5, 25, and 50, respective) requirements to be listed on the board.
• It's Treyarch's most aggressive leaderboard effort to date.

COD Points

• Currency and the xp system work side by side
• Unlocked weapons, perks, attachments, etc will still need to be purchased with COD Points
• Buy weapons, attachments, perks, backgrounds, and emblems with COD Points
• Flamethrower is an attachment for 750
• ClanTags are purchased for 1000
• COD Points is awarded every time you play
• Earn COD Points with kills, wins, K/D ratio, gambling, etc

Hardline

Hardened

• Bullets penetrate better.

Scout

• Hold breath longer.

Steady Aim

• Increased hip-fire accuracy.
• PRO: +Quicker aiming after sprinting and quicker recovery from knife lunge.

Sleight of Hand

• Faster reloads.

Warlord

• Equip two attachments to your primary weapon.

Marathon

Second Chance

Tactical Mask

Killstreak Rewards

• Killstreaks only go to 11
• Gunship is the highest killstreak
• Dogs are back

• Killstreaks do not count toward your highest leaderboard kill streak
